Annual Report
Dedicated to Success
Over the past 20 years various AFSIA founders have been visiting and working with the vulnerable kids of Zambia through local pastors. We have seen the impact small and big gestures can make in the lives of children who would otherwise be forgotten and abandoned.
Supporting education and bringing hope
student tuition Sponsorship
AFSIA works to advocate for children who are orphaned and abandoned by giving them the opportunity at a valuable education. With the help of people like you, these kids have their tuitions, uniforms, and school fees paid for.
Camp Sponsorship
Once a year, Teen Missions International hosts a month long Bible camp for children in junior high and high school. While learning about the Bible and God's love for them, these young students also learn team building abilities, practical life tools such as cooking, medical, gardening, and construction skills, as well as learning to value themselves and others around them, becoming young leaders in their communities with a new found confidence and vision.
Student Service Projects
Poverty and Illness often leave young children and the elderly the most vulnerable. AFSIA is able to give young people the opportunity to serve the elderly in their communities with bringing food, doing chores and offering help with housing and garden work, as well as bringing light and encouragment into these often forgotten men and women's lives.
Shipping Books and Bibles
For most of the population, books and Bibles are not easy to obtain in Zambia. AFSIA has sent over 15,000 books over the last several years for children and adults to enjoy and grow in learning, and to help fight illiteracy.
Here are some examples of some books we have sent for literacy programs. AFSIA accepts Bibles and children’s book donations for shipments made twice a year. If you would like to donate books or donate towards shipment costs, please contact us.
Mitenge Village Secondary School
AFSIA is in the process of building a secondary school in a rural village called Mitenge so that up to 200 local children have the opportunity to attend grades 8-12. Right now there is only a primary school nearby for grades 1-7.
